Our Community Forum Rules & Guidelines are in place to create a positive, friendly, and constructive space for all mountain bikers. Pinkbike is subject to the Outside community guidelines as well as the Pinkbike etiquette below:
Respect the Community
We ask that our users operate with respect and inclusivity within the Pinkbike community. Treat fellow riders with courtesy and value different opinions. At Pinkbike, we do not tolerate personal attacks or inflammatory language. Discriminatory remarks, hate speech, and harassment are strictly prohibited to keep our space safe and welcoming for all mountain bikers.
Share Relevant and Authentic Content
Contribute content that is helpful, on-topic, and authentic to your experiences. Photos, videos, reviews, and forum discussions should always relate to mountain biking. Basic forum rules
- We do not tolerate flaming anyone's race, faith or sexual preferences.
- We do not tolerate trolling, and prohibit names or avatars that are insensitive to others' faith.
- No vulgar posts, no nudity, no rude, crude or obscene pictures.
- No offensive language; flaming or bashing of competing websites will not be tolerated.

- We do not allow selling bikes or items on any of the forums.
- We do not allow any threads asking users to 'price bikes' or bike parts.

- We do not tolerate bashing or flaming of bike-shops; you are free to explain a problem you ran into, but we do not allow public bashing of bike-shops in our forums.
- Refrain from replying to 'bot' threads, which are threads posted by automated programs whose content consists of problematic links, spam, and the link. Our moderators do all they can to remove these threads; posting in these threads makes it more difficult for our moderators to find and remove.

Stay Stoked, Stay Connected
Keep in mind that the Pinkbike forums are a place for the mountain biking community to connect on the shared love of riding bikes. Our forums are not the place for leaving negative or sarcastic comments on the size or difficulty of tricks and/or air time or on what other bikers are riding. You can provide a level of constructive criticism, for example - how the rider might improve the stunt or offer a tip for a quick fix to someone’s bike set-up. Take into consideration that at some point in your riding career, no matter where you your level of riding now, dropping off a curb and having the back wheel hit first was cool. Remember that feeling of starting out! Be encouraging to others.
Riding is about having fun on your machine, no matter the rides you're doing or the bike you're riding. Whether that is riding down A–line in Whistler, to bunny-hopping up a picnic table, to riding on the bike path with your mom - the goal is to have fun, and if you're having fun, then you understand what riding is really about. Leave the flaming and immaturity elsewhere. As always, if you’re having fun, then keep on givin’er!
By participating thoughtfully, you help maintain an inspiring and supportive space to share your passion for all things mountain biking. Let’s keep this forum fun and clean for everyone. Shred responsibly, engage positively, and let’s keep this community rolling strong!
